Adult Officials Clinics

The first step to becoming a women's lacrosse official is to attend a New Umpire Clinic. 

Adult Umpire Beginner Clinics are for prospective umpires 18 years of age and older. No prior officiating experience is required. These clinics include 8 hours of classroom instruction in 3 or 4 sessions. Completing the course, passing a 3-4 hour field rating session, joining USA Lacrosse and joining EMWLUA are required for completion.

Each clinic has its own schedule (with different dates and times), so be sure to read the course descriptions carefully. Space in each clinic is limited, and you must attend all meetings.

    New England Wave lacrosse tournament


    Alternate field session
    July 22nd

    Participants will be responsible for:

    1) current EMWLUA dues

    2) current US Lacrosse dues

    3)Complete the Free USL Girls' Lacrosse Rules Online Course available at uslacrosse.org.   

    3) participation with visible screen during Google Meet Sessions

    4) attendance of on field training

    5) completion of USL Girls Lacrosse Online Rules Course

    6) completion of USL 2021 Youth Rules Exam

    Upon successful completion and satisfactory performance, participants will be cleared for assignment for Lacrosse games.  -Adherence to protective/extra equipment/game-day procedures is required of Officials.

    EMWLUA reserves the right to combine clinics based on enrollment levels.  Registered students will receive the steps on how to join the google meet a few days before the session.
